The client is an American consumer goods MNC that manufactures and markets fast-moving consumer goods.
The client was bearing huge operational expenditure with over 100+ brands globally, and 500+ brand marketing sites which were implemented using Sitecore based digital marketing platform.

With over 20+ vendors managing almost 100 legacy applications, the client lacked standard CI/CD processes. Additionally, the marketing platform was hosted in a virtual private data center that was geographically dispersed. Longer SLAs followed as a result of the high operational costs, difficult billing, and chargebacks to the relevant brands.
Our Cloud architects performed a proof-of-concept for Sitecore on Azure PaaS and provided recommendations based on the platform’s capabilities and constraints. The Java and PHP B2C applications were docketized and deployed using Azure DevOps on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and Azure App services. For legacy .NET applications, our cloud experts suggested Azure App services that would enable the client to use Cloud-native solutions for infrastructure backup and monitoring.
AiRo implemented DevOps, which standardized the procedures between vendors. Finally, to support various application frameworks and versions, our team automated the build and maintenance of base Docker images.
The client gained significant benefits post deployment:
Unified DevOps platform and methods across vendors and projects, along with a leaner workforce for CloudOps and standard templates with hardened images for infrastructure provisioning
Enabled applications portability using containerization and centralized log analytics
A greater degree of agility in providing infrastructure and related tasks
Cost optimization through significant resource consolidation
Scalable infrastructure that adapts to demand
Operational costs are decreased by utilizing Azure PaaS whenever possible.
